Safeguarding
Aspley Christ Church is a church where we promote belonging and, as such, offers social and Bible-based activities during the week, which some adults with care and support needs attend. The Church takes seriously its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of adults with care and support needs, as well as children and young people, entrusted to the Church’s care and has appointed a Safeguarding Officer and Deputy.
Our desire, at Aspley Christ Church, is to have a clear vision of Jesus – to fall in love afresh with the one who loves us and gave Himself for us and we need to see what He wishes to accomplish in His church. We pray that, through adherence to the policies and guidance provided, that we will work towards this vision.

Safeguarding at ACC
Jesus commands us to ‘love one another’ (John 13:43), so we need to protect everyone and anyone from bullying, harassment, exploitation and abuse. We are a Church that is caring and compassionate, to draw people in so they may find love, friendship and hope. To that end, we provide a safe environment that is open and transparent in promoting the raising of concerns. We seek to protect and promote the wellbeing of those who are vulnerable, especially children and at-risk adults, ensuring their safety whilst in our care and also responding appropriately to disclosures or indicators of abuse or neglect outside of our care.
